I learned this job in gig photography pits. Loud, sweaty, no second takes. You either feel the room or you miss it.
Weddings aren't that different. The good stuff happens once, and usually while someone's not looking. So I stopped asking couples to recreate things for the camera. The real day is always better than the version in the inspiration folder.
So I turn up, read the room, and go looking for the bits you'll want to feel again in twenty years. A hand on the small of a back. Your dad going first during the speeches. The gasp when the confetti goes up. The dance floor completely losing it at 11pm.
No shot lists. No barking orders. And yes, I'll dance with your nan if she asks.

Nothing staged
The photos you'll keep are the ones nobody knew were being taken. I stay loose and follow the day, I don't direct it.

Easy to have around
You've got enough going on. I'm quiet, I'm quick, and the day is never about me.

Built to last
No trends, no heavy filters. Photos that'll still look right in thirty years.
